What you have been told since childhood to the catechism about the Eucharist, now you can “see” it and believe more deeply. You can also tell it, because the “real flesh” and the “real blood” are not only historical signs of a fact that really happened, but a visible and permanent miracle.
Certainly your restless and doubtful mind – like any human mind – wants to understand, wants to investigate how it is possible that God, in the fragile appearances of bread and wine, makes presence, bread of life, sacrifice for you. Dear Visitor, enter a climate of silence, humility, recollection and expectation, so that before the Event that you will go to admire you may receive and preserve this memory of God for you.
The Miracle is a support to believe that the Son of God, Jesus, is alive, risen in the Church, and that he wants to leave in you and in every man an indelible seal of credibility that will never be erased from everyone’s life again. This virtual visit, pending a real pilgrimage to the Eucharistic Shrine of Lanciano, can enrich you with immense spiritual fruits, can make you grow a greater love for the Eucharist.
I hope that this “visit” will be imprinted in your heart, his memory will be light, support at the moment of trial and that you will truly believe His promise: “… here I will be with you every day until the end of the world.” (Mt 28:20).
